Isabelle has worked as a technical translator for 25 years while raising four children with her husband. Six years ago, she decided on a career change and qualified with a BTEC in Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage at the Oxford School of Sports Massage.
While building up her client base, Isabelle took a 2-year course focusing on biomechanics and movement science with Katy Bowman (pictured left) from Nutritious Movement, in order to make natural movement accessible to everyone and help them see where their body might not be moving at all, even if they are active overall.. She has integrated this knowledge into her massage work as well as into classes and individual sessions aimed at restoring healthy movement patterns.
Isabelle has worked with a wide range of clients from sedentary to very active, from amateur to professional athletes and across all age groups and walks of life. She follows a head-to-toe approach and is particularly keen to help you understand your body better. Her manner is calm, positive and kind. Isabelle also has an Oncology Massage Practitioner Diploma and can offer safe and relaxing treatments to people undergoing cancer treatment or with a history of cancer.
WHAT HER CLIENTS SAY
Great private session with Isabelle! Very, very knowledgeable and provided me with very helpful advice to help with bunion and hip problems!
Very useful session with exercises to help following my foot surgery. Great notes sent following the class to enable me to continue exercises at home.
You were the only one to "cure" the sciatica after physios, acupuncture, and chiro. so you really are excellent!
Isabelle is very knowledgeable and experienced. I learnt so much about the nuts and bolts of my body during the restorative exercise classes that I took with her and my aches and pains dramatically improved. I also really enjoyed the massage she gave me to unknot my ‘writer’s back’ and I felt she understood the fine details what was wrong with me. Her manner is very calm, kind and softly spoken and it’s just lovely to be around her (particularly when overwhelmed or stressed). I warmly recommend her to friends, especially those who are recovering from stress or illnesses.
I have been to Isabelle for a few issues last year I had really bad pain behind my shoulder and my knee. I saw Isabelle for both problems and after only a few massages and a lot of good advice on exercises I could do at home, both problems are gone! This year I have had pain in my other knee due to my running. Again, with massages and a lot of discussion on how I run and advice, I am back running with no pain. I am more aware now about how I stand, walk, sit and run and it makes a big difference when you learn the basic way of looking after your body! I can’t thank you enough Isabelle!
Isabelle has a professional attitude and high level of empathy towards my needs to overcome my soft tissue injuries from my active running. Her knowledge and experience has helped me enormously to get through the pain barrier. Her very effective “bedside manner” has helped to improve the quality of my running and my life. I highly recommend Isabelle, without hesitation.”
